Listening Sessions

One of my favorite things to do is have a listening session with a group of people. I first started doing them in 2015 in Seattle. The Rhapsody office had a high-end system. Back then I was flying cross country every month to the HQ. We’d gather after work around the system, drink some beers and blast music. You go around the room and everyone gets a turn. Each person chooses a song and everyone listens to it together. A few years ago I got a nice hifi and started doing these sessions with the kids and guests we’d have over. For most people it’s the first time they experience a good system playing at reference levels (very loud). I love hearing new music I don’t know and introducing new music to people. There are few things I enjoy more in life than gathering around the stereo with friends and family and listening to really loud music on a great system.
