Concert Review: Glasvegas at Webster Hall 03/30/09
I went to see Glasvegas last night at Webster Hall. I really like the venue, having saw The Notwist there last year. I’ve heard very good things about Glasvegas live and they didn’t disappoint at all. I showed up at 5 minutes before they went on at 10 PM. They played for 1 hour, which was kind of short but I didn’t mind since it was a Monday night.
The concert was very good overall. The highlight was the lighting. Some bands really care about lighting and I think it makes a huge difference. Phish always said that their lighting guy was the fifth member of the band. It seems that Glasvegas believes that as well. They played most of the stuff off their album with a few others I hadn’t heard before. Very deep sound and lots of energy. I will see them again.
