Concert Review: The Ting Tings at Terminal 5 03/16/09
Wow, wow, wow. Before the show I gave it a 60/40 chance of being good. I reasoned that they were only two people and only had one album, so it could be bad. I hoped it would be good but braced myself for a bad performance. Man, was I wrong.
Within the first 10 seconds of the show, I knew it would be good. The drummer/keyboardist/vocals/dude came out and started playing the notes to ‘We Walk’. Then it kept looping and he sat down at the drums. He started drumming and the vocalist/guitarist/hottie came out and just erupted. The energy level was so high. She (Katie White) is a total rockstar. She was like “ah ah ah ah ah ah” as the whole crowd did the same. She danced, ran around and played the guitar very loudly. It was awesome! They played all ten songs of their album and nothing more. The encore was ‘That’s Not My name’ which is probably my favorite song. I will definitely see them again.
