Girl Talk at Terminal 5 - 11/15/08
Isabel and I went to the Girl Talk concert last night at Terminal 5. The show was great. I saw Girl Talk for the first time over the summer at the All Points West festival. I commented then that - “I will definitely see him again.” Isabel commented last night - “We need to see him every time he comes to NY”. It was that good. The crowd was so into it and the dancers on stage were out of control. Isabel’s favorite was some guy in a bear mascot costume!
I had never been to Terminal 5 before last night. It’s a very cool venue. Apparently it used to be a club before it turned into a concert venue. It was a little hot, but not too bad. The sound was pretty good. We stood upstairs on the second floor (there are 3). It was very crowded on the floor, but we had a lot of space where we were. We were directly in center and had a great view of the stage and crowd. One thing I noticed that was interesting - I think the AC was blowing on to the stage. They were throwing lots of things into the crowd, but it seemed like things were not getting deeper than the first row at best. It was different than at the festival outside where things were flying like crazy.
Definitely a great time last night. I am sure I will see him again.
