I’ve been using Extension.fm for the past week now and it is quickly becoming my music player of choice. It’s a Google Chrome extension that enables one to capture streaming audio from multiple websites into one player. For example, I can visit any site in Chrome and if there is streaming audio, all of the music is added to the extension.fm music player. To be clear, extension.fm does not download files, but stores the links to each file so you can play them later. Now I have music from all of my favorite music blogs in one player.
Extension.fm is the brainchild of @dankantor who also created the popular website mp3 player, Streampad. It’s invite only, but Fred Wilson has some invitations to hand out if you are quick enough. Click the link above.
