Feel Good Track Of Rosemead by Family of the Year.
I first heard of this band in December at the SF Music Tech Summit when a member of the band sat on a panel talking about artists using social media to promote themselves. One thing that is sometimes lost in the conversation about how artists need to promote themselves and sell their art is that the product still needs to be great. Good promotion will make someone listen once. Great product will keep them listening. So when this album popped up on CDLP this week, I was curious enough to hit play. The promotion (guy sitting on a panel) did its job. And guess what? The product was great too. I ended up buying it from Amie Street. I later found out the band is selling it for a Radiohead-like name your own price on their website - http://familyoftheyear.net/. I totally recommend picking it up.
