Concert Review: Royksopp at Webster Hall 11/23/09
Last night I went to see Royksopp at Webster Hall. I dont’t claim to be a huge fan — I have liked what I’ve heard but never owned any of the albums. When we got the tickets a few months ago I started listening to their latest album Junior on Spotify so I would be familiar with them at the show.
The show was really great. I think it was the most crowded show I have seen at Webster Hall. Everyone was really into it. The female singer was pretty crazy. She was wearing lots of different costumes and dancing a lot. One of the guys put on some costumes as well and sang with a robot voice.
While I like Junior, it really is on another level live. It needs to be played loud and the lighting really adds to it. Overall, it was a very enjoyable show.
