Content Everywhere, But Not A Drop To Drink

parislemon:

“Most are stories written with little or no research done. They’re written as quickly as possible. The faster the better. Most are just rehashing information that spread by some other means. But that’s great, it means stories can be written without any burden beyond the writer having to read a little bit and type words fast. Many are written without the writer even having to think.”

MG writes a great post about how most of the tech stories out there are bullshit. I read a ton of tech blogs and b/c I mostly know this stuff, I usually know what’s b.s. and what’s not. What scares me is that I also read about Politics, Economics and other topics that I am not an expert in. I read them and believe them as truth. I bet experts in those fields realize how much b.s those stories are. I don’t. And that scares me.
