Continuations: Cloud Computing = Democratization... →
The Web brought us the democratization of content. Cloud Computing will do the same for applications. That will be one of my key themes for the Cloud Computing panel this afternoon at the Wharton Business Technology conference (that’s assuming that my Acela which is already 30 minutes late will…

Are The Killers Pearl Jam?
I’m listening to Sam’s Town right now, The Killers’ second album (of three). When it first came out I didn’t like it at all. It took me 6 months and then I randomly listened to it again and started loving it. Their third album -Day & Age- is pretty good as well. I was just thinking how The Killers are sort of like Pearl Jam. Everyone loves Ten. Many people love Vs....

Building on top of APIs and the Cloud - Pleasant...
ExtensionFM is built on top of lots of other companies’ technologies. One big drawback of building on top of other companies’ technologies is that you are tied to their schedules and their priorities. That is a big drawback. But sometimes, there are pleasant surprises. In the past week, three main companies that ExtensionFM relies on fixed something or introduced something new that...

Google’s Music Strategy: Past, Present and Future →
youmeandmyapi: Having just spent the morning using extension.fm, I gotta believe that Google’s music service is extension.fm plus some sort of google checkout driven offline monetization model. Probably extension.fm to songkick to concert and Google takes the transaction piece. I don’t know, music is crazy and it portends b model craziness for everyother industry with a network good.

Extension.fm feedback →
toddwickersty: I’ve been using Extension.fm for the past week now and it is quickly becoming my music player of choice. It’s a Google Chrome extension that enables one to capture streaming audio from multiple websites into one player. For example, I can visit any site in Chrome and if there is streaming audio, all of the music is added to the extension.fm music player. To be clear, extension.fm...
